JW loves adventure and traveling. He enjoys seeing the world and sees an opportunity in every obstacle. He has completed multiple Iron-Men races, over a dozen Half Marathons, and hiked six days through Peru from Cusco to Machu Picchu. He has also trekked eight days to Everest Base Camp. He is a pilot, ordained minister, author, and podcast host. He loves to motivate those around him and put a smile on everyone he meets. His goal is to uplift, empower and inspire others and teach them the love of Jesus.
Costa Rica
JW visits Costa Rica throughout the year. It ranks as one of his top 3 travel destinations. Costa Ricans are friendly and the country shares the same timezone with Texas for most of the year. It truly is a beautiful country.
Paris
JW was born in Evreux, France. Paris is one of his favorite destinations. It is a place he has created many wonderful memories with his family. “We took the children there several years back and they loved it.” – J.W
Peru
JW hiked six days through Peru from Cusco to Machu Picchu with a group of friends. Machu Picchu is in the Andes Mountains, Machu Picchu is the most visited tourist destination in Peru. Machu Picchu is a once-in-a-lifetime, truly unforgettable experience. It is considered by many to be the most spectacular urban creation of the Inca Empire and one of the most important heritage sites in the world. It sits on top of a mountain, 8,000 feet (2,430 meters) in the tropical forest, offering spectacular scenery with significant endemic biodiversity of flora and fauna.
Hawaii
Kalaupapa is on the island of Molokaʻi, within Kalawao County in the U.S. state of Hawaii. It is a beautiful destination. It is a popular vacation destination for him and his family.
IronMan
J.W has completed two ½ Iron-Men races. One of his favorite Ironman races was the 70.3 Monterrey Ironman that he completed together with his bride in Mexico. The race winds through historic landmarks and the chic commercial districts of this vibrant, cosmopolitan capital city.
Victoria Falls
Victoria Falls is one of the world’s seven natural wonders. This beautiful destination includes numerous activities like Sunset Cruise, Game Viewing, Helicopter Ride over the falls, and many others. JW has visited Victoria Falls with family and friends numerous times and it ranks as one of his top 3 travel destinations. Matetsi Lodge in Victoria Falls was named the best lodge in Africa in 2021.
Marathons
JW and Lori enjoy participating in half and full marathons together. They have attended the OC Marathon and Rock n Roll Half Arizona Marathon in recent times.
